Just another good ol’ Fogerty down south tune … great riff. Uses NP E-Piano and 4001 Bass. GREAT basic drumline.
Re the “cheat” … This is NOT a chord strum song (but it can be simply E blues), but rather, Fogerty has a little impro riff at each line in addition to his solo. Listen to the video. SO that’s how its written out, thanks to Ultimate Guitar. At the end, there is a “no chords listing” of the lyrics.
BTW, a “pony” has multi[e meanings, first, its a small bottle of beer… but more likely, in a southern juke joint, its a small glass, a shot of whiskey.
