BUG: BBMO 1.5.0 song freezes when duplicating and then moving

Tested using macOS 15.1, Vivaldi and Google Chrome (Arc still not working with BBMO)

How to reproduce the bug:

  1. Create a new song in the BBMO, name it, set the tempo, import a MIDI to Intro and Save Project
  2. Duplicate the song
  3. Move the song (note, you can recreate the bug by creating a new song and then moving it)
  4. Go to any other song in the BBMO
  5. Try to return to the duplicated song
  6. BBMO will not select the song; cannot perform any function from the 3-dot menu; here’s the error message displayed

  8. Undo will not work
  9. Workaround is to quit (Leave) the project without saving

If project is saved with the corrupt duplicate and then opened in the BBM 1.6.6c, the BBM displays

Another workaround is to delete the duplicated song using the BBM and saving the project.

Thanks for pointing this out. After doing the same thing for 120 songs this was pretty perplexing. Hopefully this will get fixed pretty soon.

Late addition to this bug report:

Attempting to move any song causes the BBMO to freeze. It isn’t exclusive to Duplicating and then attempting to Move the song.

So then I gather that it is okay to move songs on the BeatBuddy itself then?

If the song is corrupted in the BBMO, you might not be able to move it in your Play List.

I tried opening my project with a corrupt song file in the BBM (hoping to have been able to move it) but the BBM treated it as corrupt. I was able to delete it from the BBM though.

I do have a good copy in the setlist, just out of order so I should be able to move it on my BeatBuddy then.

Same here. The copy that BBM recreated was OK. Just needed reassignment of drum kit, etc. My vote for the beta testing, sign me in.

Any update on this problem? I am very hesitant to make any changes to my song files at this point.
