Can you add a bar to the beginning of a MIDI file on the BBMO?

How about a way to insert a bar in an existing drum track, not at the end?

Not possible but you could double the beat and delete notes in the first half of it, tip: use shift while clicking and dragging to make a selection window to add notes to the current selection.

Just found a solution for this much needed feature. All the credit goes to @GrahamH (hopefully same person), who posted this on a Facebook group. (Haven’t seen that same post here, but I may be mistaken).
While pressing Shift on your computer, click on the arrow that increases number of bars. This will add one bar at the beginning. Tried it yesterday, worked like a charm. THANKS @GrahamH

Thought Graham had shared this on this forum before. If they aren’t in the BBMO User Manual, perhaps they should be.

Here’s the rest of the hidden features:

For anyone interested, here are some of the

“hidden” features in BBMO:

BEATBuddy Friends Forever (BBFF) - now known as BEATBuddy Manager Online (BBMO)

Notes

Manipulating bars is much easier using

BBMO:

  1. Increase - adds to the end.
  2. Decrease - removes from the end.
  3. Shift + Increase - adds to the start.
  4. Shift + Decrease - removes from the start.
  5. Ctrl (Cmd) + Increase - Adds a bar to the end, copying the last bar.
  6. Shift + CtrI (Cmd) + Increase - Adds a bar to the beginning, copying the first bar.
  7. Shift + CtrI (Cmd) + Decrease - Removes the second bar (because often the first bar is important, but you still want to remove from the front.)”

Thanks so much. It would be nice if there were also a feature to add a bar at the position of the cursor, in addition to just start or end. But, this is a very useful step in that direction.

I haven’t found them before on this forum. Still hasn’t. But now it is here, for all to enjoy. Thanks @persist, and of course @GrahamH .
By the way, these should not be “hidden” features, should be front and center for all to use, and should be in the manual.
