Midi is currently a black art to this old timer. I’ll get there in the end. Sorry if I’m not phrasing this correctly.
I like to change the order of the BB commands around on the MM. For example, I’d like to move the STOP/START from the top left button to the bottom left button. I’m assuming that, if this is do-able, I’ll be able to move other command locations using the same method?
Can any of you guys help?
Yes, this is easily achievable!
To rearrange the commands on the MIDI Maestro, you’ll need to use the MIDI Maestro app on your phone (just make sure it’s not running iOS 26). Create a new custom mode, select BeatBuddy as a template, then long-press on a command and select “move.” From there, you’ll be able to change the order. Once you’re done, turn on pairing on the MIDI Maestro and click the export icon on the top right corner of the app to save your changes.

Daniel,
Thank you very much, I’ll give it a try.
Hello again,
Looks simple enough but this doesn’t work on my Google Pixel 8 phone as hitting the move option doesn’t put things into the move state.
I’ll try it on my tablet tonight and hopefully I’ll get things arranged as I wish.
**UPDATE**
So the linked video asks you to long press on the relative command then select move. The video shows this action putting it into “move” state and the > arrow changes to a series of 2 bars. You then press, hold and move to a selected position. I did not see any change happening on my two android devices and the > arrow remained. HOWEVER! Once I’d selected the “move” option I was able to hold and move the given command anyway even though the > arrow remained. Job done.
Thanks again for the assist.
