connecting my buddy with onsong wireless midi

I bought the Yamaha MD-BT01 bluetooth midi interface and have Onsong on a iPad 2, I cannot get the onsong to see the MD-BT01. tried to connect with other apps like Visperformer. Googled the problem but nothing works. Is it my old model iPad or what, anybody else had this problem? The lights on the MD-BT01 is flashing so it is trying to connect, but it just doesn’t happen,

One thing I could suggest is if you could use another device (phone?) to see if the Bluetooth can at least connect. If it is searchable and can be found then it’s a setting in Onsong. The downside to it being highly customisable = there are a myriad of settings.

iPad 2 uses Bluetooth 2.1. The BT-01 says it will connect to a Mac with Bluetooth 4, so that could be the problem.

I read on line that you don’t pick it up in the general Bluetooth of a device only in the apps…and tried a Yamaha App but could not use “Faders” as my iPad is too old, thanks for the advise
