Connecting rc300 as a slave Beatbuddy

Heya! I’m trying to sync up my rc300 to my Beatbuddy so that the rc300 receives the midi+start/stop messages, however when going out the Beatbuddy the clocks aren’t syncing, no issue the other way round though, any advice would be appreciated!

Do you get any midi out from BB? Other than that I believe it’s settings of rc300. Do you know that it supports midi clock sync? :upside_down_face:

I use the RC-5, and it’s been my experience to absolutely, positively have the correct MIDI cables connecting the two. There is a ton of information on this forum regarding just that. A quick search will show a BOSS cable and a SS cable being crucial. Hope you find the solution here, others (me included) have.

Based on this and the other reply I’d say that midi out from BB is not working. Try to replace the BB breakout cable if that fixes things :relieved:

If not then it might be broken from the BB unit itself  In that case you should hope you still have the warranty

I’m assuming that rc300 uses same cable for out as for in, if not then it can be the input side of rc300. Could be the unit itself in any case :face_with_peeking_eye:

Or, you could test the MIDI using MIDI OX Using a MIDI Monitor to Test a MIDI Device : inMusic Store
