Copy/pasting notes from old to new bars

PLease create a way to write a short series of notes and copy/paste it into rest of the measure of the song you’re working on, instead of having to create each beat individually. Have you ever had to build a 16th-note tamborine part for 8 measures? It’s a pain. Why not be able to write 1 bar of 16th notes, copy it, and paste it into subsequent bars?

Highlight the notes, ⌘+C to copy, then click at the point in the measure you want to past them and ⌘+V
Also, if you write 1 bar of 16th notes and click “Double Beat” you can quickly built out a section from a base set of notes (it duplicates the notes as it doubles the length)
Hold ⌘ as you increase the bar count and it duplicates the last bar notes as it increases
Hold ⇧+⌘ while you increase the bar count and it duplicates the first bar as it increases

Tried it. Works well enough, but now, the playback for the track I’ve created begins on the 2nd of two bars, and I don’t see a way to correct it. There’s a vertical blue line that indicates the playback starting point, but no way (that I can see) to move it.

The blue line is the insert point where all the pasted notes start from. You can click on the first part of the first measure to set the insert point at the beginning of the track. Or, after you’ve played it once, it seems that it removes that and the next play will be the start of the track again.

Unfortunately, that blue line comes up in seemingly random ways and is all but impossible to either move or get rid of. That’s just poor interface design. Something that affects playback that much ought to have a fairly obvious control aspect. There’s also a similar red line that’s just as stubborn.

Except……I just figured out how to do get rid of it: go to an empty box and click “delete” until it goes away. Weird, kind of a pain, but effective…
