Is it possible to end a bar of 4 beats early, say after 2 beats, and proceed immediately to the beginning of the next bar? I have a song that is basically in 4/4, but has a 2-beat bar in the second part.
That depends: Are you able to edit your MIDI files? If so, I have had luck bringing the patterns into, let’s say, Reaper. and changing them from 4/4 to 2/4 time, which then enables me to cut bars short.
