Dedicated Aeros and Beatbuddy Setups fourm

I have been using the Aeros and Beatbuddy now for sometime for at home practice but realized that maybe there are many other ways to setup or cable the system that I just have not looked into.

I did notice after looking around that there is no forum that I can find that actuly has a dedicated way of showing the different methods of setting up the system with nice full drawings using maybe guitar with peddle board, mixer, amp(s) and so on. Even just the basic setup is all over the place with some confusing wording for the not so engineering types such as myself. Diagrams go a long way without all the lingo, just my $450 worth. Cheers

The user manuals for both pedals have pretty good illustrations.

I recommend the following setup:

MIDI:
MIDI Maestro MIDI OUT → BeatBuddy MIDI IN → BeatBuddy MIDI OUT → Aeros MIDI IN → Aeros MIDI OUT to your pedalboard or other MIDI devices if needed.

Audio:
Instrument → pedalboard → Aeros IN → Aeros OUT → BeatBuddy IN → BeatBuddy OUT → full-range speakers or mixer.

We recommend using TS jack cables with a single ring on the metal connector for audio connections.

Here’s a video showing how the synchronization works. It features the original BeatBuddy, but the same principles apply to the BB2 as well:

(The only difference is that with the BeatBuddy 2, you don’t need a MIDI adapter, just a standard 5-pin MIDI cable!)
