Default Drum Set Reverts on Power Off BB2

BUG: (using BB2-1.0.1) Firmware

I have DEFAULT DRUM SET “DISABLED”. This allows me to pick one drumset to play on every song. It remains even if I put the BB2 in “sleep” mode. HOWEVER, the BUG is when I do a power cycle, the original drums per song returns and I have to go and set the drum kit again.

This feature worked fine on BB1, and works fine if put in sleep mode. But if BB2 is powered off/on again, the drum kit has to be re-selected. Please fix this as I use 1 drumset for 99% of my songs and change it depending on PA equipment or venue only.

Hi Scott,

I’ve tested this using the power button on the back of the unit, and it worked as expected. Could you please record a video of the issue and reset the default settings on the BeatBuddy 2 before capturing the video? This will help me replicate the issue on my unit and forward it to the team for troubleshooting.

This one is puzzling…I just turned on my BB2 and it KEPT the default drum set I used from last night, which is great; however, when I pick a new drum set and power cycle it changes back to the drum set from yesterday (not the drum set I chose, or the original drum set set in BBMO) – a head scratcher…and out of 10 attempts, 3 times it behaved as expected which is it kept the drum set I selected and it stayed default for every song even after a power cycle.

If you can’t replicate the problem, let me know how to send the video. I don’t see a way to upload it here (a 57 second iphone video).

Note: expected behaviour with default drum set “disabled” is that I can select a drum set and it will be used for every song and remain selected even after a power cycle. (For instance if Rock is the kit for all the Rock songs, and Standard is the kit for the Country Songs, but I want all of my songs to play with Brushes).

Please try compressing the video into a zip file and posting it here. If that doesn’t work, you can send the video along with the URL of this post to support@singularsound.com

Let me know if this works, Daniel.

Hi Scott,

Thank you! I’ve reported the issue to our dev team.
