Hello all. Is there any chance that a way to disable the Backing Track Rules could get on the roster?
I recently spent a whole lotta time nitpicking my original backing tracks to sync up (as exactly as possible) with midi files of my BB Beats and I’ve gotten the “finger” regarding several of them.
The rules are great for very straightforward tracks but it doesn’t seem to like anything that’s a bit more avant garde. And yes, I tried all of the suggestions that the Aeros gave me.
Thanks much. Hope this finds y’all quite well.
Hi Rudolf,
Could you please explain in more detail what you would like to achieve exactly? This will help us better understand your request.
Thanks much for the reply/inquiry.
Best way I can describe is that…
If I have made a custom beat on my Beatbuddy, I want to be able to upload a backing track to the Aeros that matches said beat to MY specifications successfully. I have tried uploading beats with Freeform, Quantized and Auto with same results.
The only thing the Aeros should do (in my case) is to just insert it at the beginning of my chosen track and let me decide if it is proper or not. For instance I have original songs with off-time stops built into my beats. I don’t need the Aeros trying to “tell” me that it’s wrong and “refuse” to upload it. I spend a lot of time writing and then lining everything up to the millisecond in my DAW alongside it’s BB beat. Then because my track “breaks a rule” (and I still need the part) I’m “forced” to do a goofy pedal dance to hit play on my backing track (from DAW) and hit record for a loop on the Aeros. Long and short, I don’t want the Aeros “telling” me how to write a song. If I want 2 seconds of silence and then a squirrelly bass riff and then a double-stop and a funky buildup and then play half-time, the Aeros should allow me to upload such. Backing tracks should be as freeform as a loop can be. And the funny thing is that the “Rules” whether time signature or BPM related aren’t that consistent. For instance there were some of my backing tracks that literally broke said rules (and I was anticipating having to do the aforementioned “pedal dance”) but nevertheless uploaded like a charm. Weird.
Apologies if a bit long-winded.
Thanks again.
