Hello All: I am a believer in the BB but it’s getting harder and harder to use it on a lot of my songs because the backbeats on most of the supplied and commercially available tracks are really heavy and dominating the sound. I love to play not spend time creating tracks, is there a solution to this issue or is it just me?
I willing to create songs using standard beats supplied but without a mentor, I can’t put the time into creating from scratch. Would love some standard beats without the heavy 2-4 back beat or whatever the accentuating beat is.
Is this because drummer created these?
Thanks and sorry!
Have you checked out some of the “Brushes” beats?
Or, try using the brushes kits with the beats you like. Or, the mallets kit.
I end up switching to a brushes kit on certain songs for that very reason.
Not sure if it will work for you but I created some Simple Beats you can download here: http://forum.mybeatbuddy.com/index.php?resources/simple-beats.2682/. I always found the included beats were to busy, so I selected a few common beats, stripped back the hi-hats and chose some fills that suited the relaxed vibe. It works well with the Ben Cajon kit.
