Is it possible to have a “dry defeat” (or “Wet only” call it as you wish…) option? Meaning only the loops sound is heard (not the live audio source)?
You could try changing “Main Output Routing” in “Preferences” to “Aux Out”.
I think that would work as long as you weren’rt using Aux Out. If important, you could ask SS to an option here for “No Output”
Nice thing about Aux out is you could monitor it via aux out, but the audience would not hear that.
You can turn off the live audio playback with the Main Input Routing setting in the Device Settings (global), you do this by deselecting both Main Out and Aux Out.
