Dumb question but Ive dragged the aeros out again and connected my beatbuddy via the breakout cable to the aeros but it starts recording as soon as a press play on the beatbuddy and I only want it to start recording when I press record on the aeros.
It’s ok got it now …something to do with setting aeros on auto record and arm
Still trying
Ok so you have to select auto record to enable arm. Select a count in then check count in is set to record and playback in settings
That works so now I can lay a loop down and then long press right footswitch and select mute( wish mute was a fixed button on the aeros )
Its only by using mute that I can go back and forth between loop and no loop reliably and keep an accurate sync with the beatbuddy
So this does essentially what I want. And by using the mute button I can toggle between beatbuddy play thru with loop or no loop
Let me know if this is the only or best way
I’m glad to hear it’s working now! If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.
Just wondering if the left button could have the option of setting it as a fixed function as well so that if I wanted to it could control mute/unmute or mixer or undo in the future
Holding down the left button and using the wheel and selecting different functions while playing live is difficult
and it is also a bit glitchy doesn’t always work properly or might cause a malfunction and stop your current loop or start re recording or other unwanted things
If I could select the left button function in the settings and it would remain with this function it would make live looping so much easier and more reliable
Sorry just found hands free I’ll give that a try!!
Given your specific needs, I’d recommend checking out the MIDI Maestro, which has a built-in Aeros mode and gives you 6 additional buttons on a separate device—perfect for full control during live performances.
