Hello folks, I hope you are well.
I am new to the forum and have just ordered the BB2 + superswitch. Having watched some video’s, I like the feature whereby an expression pedal can dynamically change the velocity. I see in the demonstration video by David Packouz that he is using a Sonicake Vexpress pedal. It seemed to do the job, so before I buy one, I thought I’d ask here for recommendations.
Thanks in advance.
I use and like the Dunlop pedal https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DunlopVolumeX--dunlop-dvp3-volume-x-volume-and-expression-pedal
They also make a smaller version, the DVP (4 or 8).
Let us know what you buy and what you think of it.
If you’ve got a volume pedal, you can use a single TRS to dual TS cable to create an expression pedal. Plug the two TS (mono, ¼") cables into the in and out on the volume pedal and the TRS (stereo, ¼") into the BeatBuddy and you have an expression pedal.
Thank you for your replies persist and andrew13.
The smaller DVP’s do look great, and I think I’d prefer the compact footprint.
I’ll try to take my BB2 down the local music shops and try what they have to see how they feel when interacting with the BB2.
andrew13, thanks for the insight about using a volume pedal. I do have a big boss one packed away somewhere, but it’s quite a size. I’ll dig it out and give it a try.
Thanks folks, much appreciated.
My local independent music shop had a second hand but vgc dvp5 (x8) so it seemed like a good idea to take it home (can return if it doesn’t work out). Thanks for the recommendation, it was a little more expensive than the Vexpress I was originally looking at, but I have other applications that I can use it for, and happy to go with a sturdy option.
Thanks for recommending,
