The left switch on my footpedal didn’t work. I went through the detection procedure a couple of times with no luck. I took the back off and found a cold solder on one of the wires. Real quick and easy fix, but thought I would point it out in case anyone else is having problems. 
Good to know. So far so good on my end but if the same thing happens at least I know I can take care of it easily.

…Thanks, Mcleodjoe, mine won’t recognize the switches all the time and today when I was in a different room I heard a few cymbal crashes with the beatbuddy paused. 
I’ll have a look inside.
