Well I was going to go to bed but then you posted this one Bob. This is great. It sounds pretty good with NP standard bass w piano also. Thanks for all these you posted tonight.

Have a good nights sleep Bwin :sunglasses::guitar:

Can someone please tell me how to drop this into the new BBMO2 online? I have tried to IMPORT DRUMSET and enter it that way but then I only get the drum beats and no horns. is that all there is?

A post was split to a new topic: You Belong To The City - Glenn Frey

It is a complete song. Make sure you are using the BBMO beta and it should work.

It has two horn notes (126 and 127) exceeding the range of the kit so I transposed the notes down one octave. Here’s the corrected version.

The heat is on D EDITED.sng (91.7 KB)

Your BBMO screen should look similar to this:

I’m going to move your request post to a new thread later today (easier to keep track of that way).

I have a MIDI source file for this song and will work it up later this week.

Thanks for your response. I am definitely in BeatBuddy ManagerBeta.. Do I first download the file onto my computer and then begin creating the song in BBMO, and IMPORT the .drm into BBMO? This is where I get lost! I’m not use to uploading files into my BBMO. I just work safely within the online app. However, you guys have created sooo much wonderful content out there that I’d like to begin incorporating it into my actual playlists!!

Any directions would be welcomed!!

Thanks again,

Jane

Here’s the way I would go about it:

  • download drum set (if you don’t have it already) unzip file to your desktop
  • download and unzip song file to your desktop; saving to desktop makes the kit and songs easier to find; after you’ve imported them, you can move them or delete them
  • use the BBMO beta (not the official release) to first import the drum set; why drum set first? if you import the song first, you’ll have to manually select the drum set after you’ve imported it; if you import the drum set and then the song, it should automatically match the drum set to what the song is calling for
  • then import the song(s); you can select and import more than one song at a time
  • check that the appropriate drum set has been updated to the song; if not, scroll to the bottom of the Drum Set: list and select the drum set for the song
  • save your project
  • enjoy your songs
