HD Drum Kit Mapping and Availability

Beatbuddy 2 HD Kits are not mapped the same as the legacy kits. Most importantly they are missing Toms and claps which are typical in most drum tabs. My question:

Are there going to be HD kits made that match existing kits from which so many of our User Songs were built around? I would like a Standard and a Rock Kit HD with same legacy MIDI mapping.

If the plan is to use this new type of MIDI mapping (where there is an extra snare in some cases, and Floor Tom and Rack Tom 1 and 2 are where Toms 3 & 4 used to be) can you give me some guidance on building my own HD Kit using these existing kits but mapped like the legacy kits

Long time user and gigging performer…I use the BeatBuddy at gigs over 100 times a year. I program DOP, or special loops/fills, regularly and the new HD kits do not map well to my existing songs. Please Help! If I can’t use the HD kits, I don’t need the BB2…just sayin’.

Hey Scott,

I am just about finished with my very long term project which has been keeping me very busy. When I finish that up, I intend to look into building some HD kits that I can just try out using the virtual pedal in BBMO. I am also considering starting a Patreon to keep me working on new kits/songs for the BB1. My current project has had me working up kits and songs where I have one kit per song, with most of the kits having 5 to 9 instruments, using 115 to 128 of the available midi spaces.

I’ll make a post on the Forum when I get the whole new thing going. Stay tuned, and stay in tune.

Hi Phil what means HD kit?

Kits that are larger than 100 mb with more samples per drum than a standard BB kit.
