I want to take one of the drum beats (songs) and copy, rename and edit it. How do I do that?
- Use the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) to create a new folder
- Go back to the song you want to copy
- BBM > File > Export > Song (to your desktop)
- Highlight the new folder in the BBM
- BBM > File > Import > Song (from your desktop) and it should land in your new folder
- Click on the song to rename it
- Open the BBM MIDI Editor by ctrl-clicking on the song section you want to edit; a sub-menu opens; select Edit . . . and when the editor opens, make your desired changes to the song section and save; save often as you work
Using the BBM’s MIDI Editor is a tedious process simply because it was never meant for much more than very light editing. If you have and know how to use a digital audio workstation (DAW), you’re better off exporting the song section as a MIDI file and editing using your DAW.

Ok… I’ll bite. How do I create a new folder using the BeatBuddy Manager?
Nevermind… I figured it out.
In your steps above, what is meant by “control/clicking on the song section”? What is mean by Song Section?
