If you can get a MIDI for the song you like, the rest is easy. I was able to find MIDI files for several other songs of Semisonic via a quick google search, but not for Chemistry, unfortunately.
Answering your question directly - yes, BeatBuddy would be capable of playing any MIDI file you give it, provided all the notes in there are covered by the drumset you are using.
