this is probably a stupid question but when people do song files to download and they write that they have added like strings and piano and effects, what does that mean? how do you get them onto your pedal?
sorry if its a stupid question. im just new to this.
You will have to load the appropriate drumset, the strings or bass or whatever instruments are added in the drum set. This drumset then has to be loaded into the BB to function with the song
How or where are these string or bass sounds coming from? Do I need another program? I don’t get this. I download the file and upload to BB, play it… no bass sounds or strings.
Install the correct drumkit for the song. Go back to the song you downloaded and read the message at the link. There are usually recommended drum kits. Find the drumkits from the links at the top of the Forum page, the blue note up on top. Read through the lists of kits. Find the kit you are looking for and download it. The install it. (file>Import drumset, or if on BBMO just import drumset.) If using BBM and not BBMO, you have to click the box in front of the kit name in the drumsets list to activate it. On BBMO, after you import it, it is ready for use. If you can’t find the kit, let me know the name of the kit.
Most user created songs require a user created drumset to work properly. Singular’s kit have just drums. If the song needs another instrument or instruments, you need a user-created kit.
Phil_Flood! You seem to know what you are doing. Jumping into this without a starting point or help is time consuming and a killer of creativity. So thank you for your time.
I am attempting to create my first song inside this new version of BBmanager. I was not too great at the original but I felt I knew it better. I want to create the drums for the song, Drown by the Smashing Pumpkins as a way to challenge myself to learn this system. I have the drum tabs from Ultimate guitar. I am a subscriber user on the site so I have access to everything. Is there an easy way to do this?
I use the ultimate guitar tabs all the time. With the Official tabs, you just have to slog through it, and enter everything measure by measure in a DAW. I am on Mac, so I use Logic Pro. If there is a Pro tab with a drum part, you can download the tab as a .gp5 file and then open it in Guitar Pro 5. Then, you select just the drum part and save it as a midi file. The quality of the Pro tabs varies. Anyhow, that is the goal, to get a good midi drum file. One you have that you can add it to a song file that you create in BBMO .
