I am about to buy a used Aeros Gold that is used, however with the BB2 now launched, I wanted to check if ANYTHING is on the horizon for an Aeros 2 perhaps?
If there is, I’d rather keep the $700 and put it toward a new model….

There have been a few requests for added features for the Aeros such as the ability to pan tracks that SS seems to be hedging on in the current Areos and it makes me think that would be something they might incorporate into the next iteration of the Aeros along with some other requested features. That’s the path that the BB seemed to take when many were requesting autopilot that never happened in the original, but was implemented in BB2 along with a few other added goodies. The new BB2 reflected a higher price and I would suspect an Aeros 2 would as well.
Me, I’m not much interested in an Aeros, but might be interested to see a two track looper with an abbreviated BB drummer built into the same housing. Sort of like a BOSS RC-10R, but with a drummer that can use the different kits and beats from the BB series.
Yeah that would be an interesting combo….
the other reason I was asking is I have given up on software loopers (viz Loopy Pro) they are too complicated. As I already have the BB2 and the MIDI Maestro Gold, I thought the Aeros linked into that chain would be relatively straightforward ![]()
I hope they would add time stretch, to change keys in the Aeros, that would be the bomb, the only one i used that did it was the Quantiloop.
I think that would be a bridge too far! ![]()
