Individual count in options?

Hey all! Can I set individual option for “Count In” in the software? I can select the Count in option on the the beat buddy pedal, but it effects all the songs. I just want it on some of the songs?

Help please?

Kim

No, but you can use BBM to remove the count-in from the songs for which you want no count-in. Hope that helps…

How and Where in the BBM do I do that? I struggle with the same issue.

Thanks

I think what he meant was that if you pull up a song in BBM, you should be able to manually delete the Intro to that song so that it starts playing the main beat when the song is started.

What @BFRedrocks said. Sorry, busy day!

Also, you need to set the main pedal to start on press not release.

Got it, Thanks

Do you know if BBMO has added the feature that allows you to control count-in on individual songs? I may have come up with a workaround… set the main pedal to intro OR countin, and then set the intro to 1 measure of the regular loop. Or just copy/paste everything in the main loop to the intro section…

There is no new count-in feature with BBMO. If you need assistance with your workaround or anything else, feel free to email support@singularsound.com.

the workaround I described above actually does work. Is there a better solution?

This is what I have come up with:

Set ‘intro setting’ in the main pedal to ‘Intro OR Count-in’. This sets the BB to use the intro if there is one, and do a count-in if there isn’t one.

Then Edit each song as follows:

  • If you want the intro, leave it as is or delete all the parts in the intro and then copy/paste all the parts from another song using BBMO (shift click to select multiple parts at once.)
  • If you want count-in, delete the intro (x top right of intro box). NOTE: currently this can only be done with the BB Manager (old app)
  • If you want 4 silent beats (visual reference), then delete all the parts in the intro using BBMO. (because you are not deleting the actual intro, but instead just making it blank, then BB thinks there’s an intro, so it does not activate the count-in. The BB still shows the beats visually as it would anyway.)
  • If you want it to start immediately with the drum loop, then delete all the parts in the intro and then copy/paste all the parts from the main drum loop in that song using BBMO (shift click to select multiple parts at once.) This ‘tricks’ BB to play the intro as the drum loop.

This is a great solution—nicely done! Just a quick note: intros can also be deleted using the BeatBuddy Manager (BBMO). If you need any help with that, feel free to reach out to support@singularsound.com.
