intro doesn't start immediately when you press the main butt

Hi guys, I don’t know if this is a bug, or a limitation of the equipment, but I’m noticing that the song does not start immediately when I press the start button. In other words, I can’t rely rhythmically on the intro starting in “time.” I can’t expect that my downpress of the pedal will be the “downbeat.”
When one presses the main pedal to start, the BB hesitates just a half a second or so. I would expect it to start in time, just like the beat starts in time when using button 2 for start/stop.

Is this an issue that can be fixed?

It starts when you release the switch. Like TC Electronics pedals.

Ah, OK, that works I suppose.
I think the outboard buttons are different, but at least there’s a way.
