Using the BBMO to Import Instruments
If you want to add these sounds to your own drum set, you can! Easily import instruments from the CrowdBuddy drum sets using the Import button.
Steps:
-
In the Instrument Selector portion of the Drum Set editor, click the Import button
-
Select the Drum Set you wish to import the instrument from
-
Select the instrument from the drum set you wish to import
-
Notice that you can only import an instrument that belongs to a MIDI note value you have not already used in your currently open drum set
-
For example, if you have Kick on MIDI note 36, the import feature will not show the option to import any instrument that exists on note 36.
-
All set! Edit the instrument however you’d like, it will not affect the original instrument you imported from.
For convenience here are all the CrowdBuddy sounds for download.
Use the BBMO to import samples into a Drum Set
To add samples, either use the Add Samples button in the Drum Editor toolbar or drag and drop .wav files (PCM formatted .wav files with a sample rate of 44.1kHz and a bit depth of either 16-bit or 24-bit) into the project screen. When hovering over a droppable area, the area will be highlighted by a green box. When possible to drop a file but not hovering over it, this area will be grey.
You can also rearrange samples into existing dynamic ranges by dragging and dropping them into your preferred location.
Browse MIDI Maestro Custom Modes (Online Library)
You can share and redownload your modes online! Or backup and redownload your content to use across devices, even cross-platform!
Simply tap the share icon next to the mode you wish to share in the My Custom Modes screen, the app will show a small pop-up once the mode has been shared successfully. You can delete any modes you shared yourself.
To find the CrowdBuddy Mode, look up “CrowdBuddy Official” in the Browse Custom Modes screen.
Press the download button to add the mode to your library!
Uploading to the MIDI Maestro
Once you have finished mapping the Custom Mode on the app, you can upload it to the MIDI Maestro. Turn on the MIDI Maestro and press the Pairing button on the back panel until the Blue LED light on the front panel is blinking. Then, using the MM app, hit the Upload button in the top right corner of the screen to begin the upload.
The App will show a progress bar for the upload and will read “write completed” when it is done. Power cycle the unit (turn on and off) to see changes written into the MIDI Maestro.
If there is an issue with connection, try restarting the MM app, if that doesn’t work, try turning off the MIDI Maestro and power-cycle (turn off and on) your phone’s Bluetooth.
