Do you have one of the older remote foot switches? If so, it uses latching switches and in order to scroll rapidly through songs, you need momentary switches which come on the newer remotes. If the switch “clacks” when you step on it, you have latching switches. You can also run the foot switch detector in the BB pedal settings.
Make sure you are using the TRS—not a TS—patch cable.
Are you trying to get to a specific song? You might consider the MIDI Maestro which allows you to program and quickly jump to a specific song.
Another option is to elevate the BeatBuddy (BB) pedal and use the knobs to rapidly scroll the songs. The con is that this is not hands-free.
Not necessarily. If you’re unsure of what you have, you really should run the foot switch detector to confirm the type of switches in your remote.
The TRS patch cable is stereo. If you have a spare cable you can try swapping the cables to see if it makes a difference.
