Is there a rapid song advance?

I have a BeatBuddy and Two-button Footswitch.

In stop mode, switch 1 is advance song, switch 2 is back one song.

Is there a way to rapidly advance through the songlist, maybe with a long press?

If I do that now, it leaves the folder I’m in, and gives me the list of folders.

Presently, I have to tap-tap-tap-tap to get to the song I need. Takes way too long.

I don’t see any options like that in the config area.

Do you have one of the older remote foot switches? If so, it uses latching switches and in order to scroll rapidly through songs, you need momentary switches which come on the newer remotes. If the switch “clacks” when you step on it, you have latching switches. You can also run the foot switch detector in the BB pedal settings.

Make sure you are using the TRS—not a TS—patch cable.

Are you trying to get to a specific song? You might consider the MIDI Maestro which allows you to program and quickly jump to a specific song.

Another option is to elevate the BeatBuddy (BB) pedal and use the knobs to rapidly scroll the songs. The con is that this is not hands-free.

I have the silver footswitch, I guess they’re black now. I use TRS cable. (3 conductors, right?)

Does the black one have momentary switches that will rapidly scroll thru the list when held down?

Will that work with my BeatBuddy (1) to give me fast scroll?

(I guess SuperSwitch is for BeatBuddy 2.)

Not necessarily. If you’re unsure of what you have, you really should run the foot switch detector to confirm the type of switches in your remote.
The TRS patch cable is stereo. If you have a spare cable you can try swapping the cables to see if it makes a difference.

Correct.
