Is this forum pushing BB in the right direction?

A lot of the pioneers are scarce these days on the forum. I recall a vibrant dialog and new things happening daily when I joined. It was an exciting time. I miss it.

I keep mine thin for the same reasons. However, there are possibilities to put in some terrific signature parts to songs such as the string section in Ain’t No Sunshine and Everything I own, Light piano backing on Night Moves and Bennie and the Jets…etc. They by no means take over the song and as a matter of fact, they would be missed if not there. After a tune that is a bit more instrumentalized, I always go back to the purity and legitimacy with Sultans of Swing or something that is undoubtedly organic. It’s a toolbox of possibilities. I just choose to pull out more than the hammer from time to time.

Much thunder—no rain. A dry spell for about two years.

ME THIRSTY!!!

I love having options. The BeatBuddy has given me that. I enjoy playing stripped down acoustic songs with some aux percussion backing me up, and I also love having the drum and bass OP tracks as well when I’m playing a venue that asks for a little more. This device has helped me grab the main stage casino gigs that I’ve dreamed of playing. It is a great tool with many great attributes. Call it what you want, but to me it’s another weapon in my tool belt, and let me tell ya folks…it’s tool time!!! lol

That’s a really good point. Probably the most flexible option for me would be to run Ableton live when I don’t want to do the bass and still and arrange on the fly very nicely with that. Then when I want to drive the bass, use BB. I’m sure I’ll eventually get to that.

Anthony Sostre, Can you at least give us the tools such as kits that are set up with keys, bass and other extra goodies? If you’re looking for premium content to sell like hotcakes…Take My Money!!! You kick butt with your purely “drum” kits. I’d bet you dollars to navy beans you could create some fantastic bass and other instrumental kits. Keep them editable and within the user created formats as not to confuse us… Again…My money is here for the taking.

Hmmmm - That’s not such a bad idea. I’ll bring it up to David in our next meeting.
