Just received my Beat Buddy. The instructions state not to plug it directly into AC power. If not AC power, what are you supposed to plug it into?
How do you think you could ever plug the BeatBuddy directly into the AC power?! You will most likely use an AC adapter that comes with the pedal, and using that is not directly any more!
This instruction is only to make sure you will not use any incompatible power sources. The shipped one is compatible, so don’t worry.
