Learning BeatBuddy

Is there a book which explains how to edit/alter existing files that are on the sd card

Hi RoyZ. Just curious, what are you trying to accomplish? It’s usually better if you do your editing on the computer using BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) and save your Project on your computer. From there you can export to the SD card (you usually only have to export the Project the first time). Thereafter, when you edit songs, drumbeats, folders, and whatnot, you save your Project (again, to your computer) and Synchronize.

The link to tutorials for the BBM is here:

Thanks for the reply. I Am trying to learn the BBM enough so I can get a very simple drum beat in 3/4 time. using a kick drum beat on first beat of measure and cymbals on beats 2 & 3

You will need to edit the MIDI files themselves (or create new ones). Editing exisiting beats will be possible in the upcoming version of the software, and possibly creating new ones as well. In the mean time, you can use a program like BeatBuilder to create/edit MIDI files: http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?threads/free-midi-editor-designed-for-beatbuddy.2545/

Make sure you also see our tutorial on the BBManager here on the forum that @persist linked above (he linked the video and the written one, see them both).

Thanks… I guess I need someone to walk me through a project, Ive have been trying for the last couple of hours with no luck. Maybe Ill have to return it, and try something else

Thanka,i’ll check that out
