List of folders and songs as they appear in the 2020 premium library SD card (non-download)

I use the beatbuddy along with the infinity looper and send bpm and beat selections via midi using the Onsong app. The data used was based on the original default beats that came with the Beatbuddy SD card.

I recently purchased the premium 2020 library on a new SD card. Does anyone have a list of the folders and beats for the new premium library?

I am looking for a list in the same format as the one below that I found on this forum for the default SD card.
————————————————
The coding I use is;
The 0:0 part of the code {midi: 0.0:0, Sets the folder and drum beat type.
So {midi: 0.0:0, refers to blues folder 0 and song 0 blues 1.

{midi: 0.1:1, would be folder 1 Brazilian and song 1 Bossa Samba

For tempos of up to 127

{tempo: 127}
{midi: 0.0:0, CC106:0, CC107:127}

For tempos of 128

{tempo: 128}
{midi: 0.0:0, CC106:1, CC107:0}

For tempos of 129 and higher

{tempo: 129}
{midi: 0.0:0, CC106:1, CC107:1}

I am looking for a list similar to the one below but for the 2020 premium library. Or, at least a listing of the folders and listing of the songs within as they come from the factory when purchasing the 2020 premium library SD card non-download.

Ya, I wanted to load BandHelper with midi presets based on the content of the entire Premium Library that I purchased. That would let me add songs to BH and quickly associate an existing BB MIDI preset w/ them. I had hoped Singular would realize how much time is involved for its customers to compile this list on their own. And how silly it is that individual customers are working separately to compile this list when we could just have it error-free from the source, them. So I emailed Singular and asked for a spreadsheet of this list right after I purchased the Premium Library and this is what I was told:

> I am afraid we can’t provide that at the moment. Keep in mind that folder# may change whenever we release a new album and update the collection. They are all sorted alphabetically.

@AnthonySostre @GoranGrooves @DavidPackouz @BeatBuddy_Support - re: Premium Library - Please reconsider providing a spreadsheet, csv, tab-delimited list with folder # and song # info, along with the rest (beat name, tempo, etc). If I could make it, you certainly can. And to solve your ‘alphabetized’ issue, please consider issuing Premium Library ‘updates only’ in separate downloads so that we can append these library updates to the end of our existing content and avoid messing up song settings we’ve previously created in our Onsong, BandHelper, etc. apps.

This is unfortunate. Sitting down and scrolling through the folders and trying to type the folders and songs in the order they appear will take many many hours. Especially since the unit reverts back to the original beat after about 20 seconds and you have to scroll through the list to find your place. Plus I will need to go into each of the 200+ Onsong files and change the coding.

Proving a list of folder and songs contained in the SD card seems like a pretty simple request.

I prefer playing music not doing clerical work and regret buying the premium library.

That is exactly what I was trying to impress upon them, but so far no luck. It is a huge time sink for Singular customers.

Just a guess here, but it seems like Singular lacks the personnel it needs to get work done in a timely fashion. Not talking skills, but rather bodies in chairs. There’s a lot, too much on the plate. They’re struggling to finish development of an app that supports a piece of hardware they’ve already released (MM). So spending anytime at all on something like compiling a list that they would have to periodically update, not to mention taking time to explain how to use and answer support questions on, is super-low priority for them at the moment. I get it. I really do. But I’m a customer waiting on parts for my brand new toys. My priority is to spend less time in the forums and more time playing music.

Would you be able to use this

to create a list?

Thank you, but that doesn’t really help, although that’s a good question because it gets me thinking some more.

What I’m really looking for is a sequential list of folders and beats so that I could know that a beat called Rock 1 is beat #1 in folder #10, for example. That information would then allow me create a MIDI preset call Rock 1 which I could then attach to any song that’s in my Bandhelper app that I felt it worked for. That’s what I need to do in order to further the process of fully integrating BB with my setup. This whole process is done in parts - create a midi preset that will call up a certain beat from a certain folder, next step, associate that midi preset with some song. In any case, that particular MIDI preset would use this data: 0 10 1, and Rock 2 would presumably use 0 10 2.

So this sequential list could come from BB Manager itself - the smartest and best solution. Or, if that’s not possible, at least give us a list (in the case of what I’ve been asking for) of the complete Premium Library reflecting the order of folders/songs in the complete Premium Library download.

Ok - apologies if I’ve completely misunderstood. I thought you might be able to import the premium library into BBM, then run the program I mentioned which would generate the list you’re after as a CSV file. Once you have that list you could use a spreadsheet application to generate your MIDI messages. That wouldn’t work?

The benefit of that of course is that you can rearrange your folder to a custom song order then regenerate the list.

Oh, okay. That’s different than what I was thinking. I’m going to have to look at this tomorrow and get back to you. Thanks!

Many thanks for this list.
I am currently working on listing of the 2019 library and find this a great help (taking me forever though, need to be in the mood).

Just a note I spotted folder 25 is missing and folder 28 is entered twice in your listing.

Thanks for the catch. There is no Folder 25. I think I duplicated 28, the All In 3 - Mega Pack 1 starts with folder 29.

The list below is correct;

Apologies for the edit but rather than post long laundry lists of content that are a pain to scroll through, it would be much easier to post single files listing the content.

This list is where I’m at, assigning midi CC to the folders/songs

What a nuisance

Have there been any more developments here? Looking to purchase the 2023 library, but it would be a giant project to figure out how to remember which beats are where…

You can find and download the full 2023 list here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bb_library/Premium_Library_Complete_Collection_2023-Content_Listing.pdf

Hi,
please, where can I download/purchase the last 2023 update of it?

(the links of the official page doesn’t announce this list, and I don’t feel confident on that)

It was removed by Singular Sound due to some legal(?) reasons :thinking: Heard that they are working to get something similar on the market :relieved:

Thanks for the info @aapo !!!
I’ll wait then, instead of buying uncertain content…

Crew of Singular Sound :pray:t3:
you should be more transparent on that, I’m confident with the hardware (Aeros & BeatBuddy :+1:t3:) but BB Premium Library pack is not clear what you’re buying and that doesn’t give any confidence in the brand.

I hope you fix this soon!
