Locked Tracks and Multimeter

Hey, I had an Aeros loop studio from the early days. Eventually I sold mine because the buttons were too clicky. But I missed it, so I just picked up an Aeros gold and I’m so happy with it. Nice to see how stable the firmware has become. Really nice work guys. Thank you,

Is it not possible to have locked tracks in multi meter mode? It seems like I can lock a track no problem in regular mode but not in multimeter mode. I ask because I am doing a little polyrhythmic exploration and it occurred to me that I could make it easier on myself if I figured out tempo ratios so that for example 2/4, 3/4, 5/4 and 7/4 could all take the same amount of time to occur. Then record each part in the different time signature and different tempo and have them all play on top of each other with the measure taking the same time to occur for each part. I realize this might be asking a lot of the pedal, to have it run simultaneously in 4 different time signatures and tempos. Probably I just need to be a better musician  but curious if something like that is possible or just crazy. Thanks

Hello there, welcome back and we’re glad to hear you see the improvement!

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of Locked Track logic because it would break rules, but we are currently working on a feature that could have a potential workaround in the upcoming 5.3.1 version we are currently working on, this can also be done in 5.3.0 beta but maybe not as easily since we had to restructure the loop length setting to be less confusing.

What you’d be able to try doing is set the Time sig to 1/4 and set the Loop Length to the measure counts you want for each section, then record your idea in 1/4 time sig using AQ set to Set Length (AQ) = 1 measure. This way your base idea can be the set up to the other sections.

Maybe a bit tedious to set up but not impossible, lmk if you have more questions!
