Looking for some help creating beats for Walking On The Moon BUT in the style of Chris Maas in Sting 3.0. Sounds simple but the feel is deceptivly clever. Need intro beat or loop and verse beat loop with some fills and transition fills. We’ve been knocked out by a YT video from Bend,Ore this spring. I’ve been using the Warmfinger drumkit as it sounds the best to me. I have a DAW (Cakewalk)and BBMO but am still struggling to wrap my head around it. I have the OPD file and like it but like this feel better. Thanks All

I have an mp3 copy that I’m trying to wrap my head around converting to MIDI and hitting walls with my knowledge.
That’s when I sought help from those more knowledgeable.

There are really good stem splitting tools available now. I have not tried all of them. Those can take your mp3 and split in into, usually, bass, drums, vocals and other. Logic Pro recently improved its splitter to separate guitars and pianos from the “other.” A paid on-line service, Fadr, I believe, claims be able to split out individual drums from the drum track. If you were able to get that split out drum file creating the midi would not be difficult.
Once you have a single instrument midi, both Ableton and Logic Pro have the ability to take the audio pitch file and convert it to midi.
