I never find that loose hi-hat sound in any drumkit on BB.
The sound that’s in EVERY rock song. In BB the Closed hi-hats is way too closed and the open hi-hats is way too open. Of course they are useful for many other things but i really wish there was the middle thing also. I think drummers will understand what i mean. The ROCK-groove-loose-hi-hat driving sound.
Or is there a tweak i can do in the existing samples? Velocity change are not giving the result i want.
You can’t adjust the existing samples. You would need to have a set of loose or half-open hat that you could add to a kit, or replace something in the kit. I’ll try to remember to post a set of samples tonight. If I forget, please remind me.
I know that I have several kits with half-open hats, but the samples I have made were created to match General Midi requirements, which does not include a half-open hat articulation. I looked in my LBDM package, which is a collection of deeply sampled sounds from the Alesis SR-16. The half-open hat sound in that package does not really meet what I think you are looking for, But, the Live Open hat sounded great. These samples are already formatted for used in the BB .
