Making beats with keyboard workstation

I’m using a Korg m50 workstation to create beats with bass using the standad pro With bass drum kit. When I play the bass notes,they sustain until the wave finishes. Do I have to send a note off command for every note that is played?

You need to use the NP Standard Pro
Bass kit and the latest versions of the BBM and firmware. The NP versions of the kits have the bass notes modified to non-percussion to address the note off issues.
