MIDI Maestro + Aeros Loop Station + Beat Buddy Feature Request: Pause/Unpause

I would like to be able to pause a loop on Beat 1 of measure 1 and unpause to beat 1 of measure 2.

It seems like this issue has been addressed using the BB and the Pigtronix Infinity Looper according to this SingularSound Forum post: BB Footswitch Pause when using Looper?

This video displays the exact behavior I am seeking at 1:16 into the video where they stop on beat 1 of the first measure of the second verse then start again on beat 1 of the second measure of the second verse.

Go to BB settings

Main pedal>Midi settings>midi out>Stop>Set to pause only

Go back to main pedal>Mute pause> Disable = unpause at first beat of the loop. Enable = unpause where you want

The instructions work for the BB, but I had already achieved that. The Aeros is not effected by the BB pause command though and keeps playing. I am looking to be able to pause the BB and the loop, then restart the loop at the first beat of the next measure.

Also, now the mute/unmute track command on the MIDI Maestro is not working. Maybe something I did in Custom mode has caused this, I don’t know.

I looked for a Factory Reset setting in both the BB and the Aeros manuals but didn’t see anything. I’ll search the forum for instructions.

Restoring the MIDI settings on the BB set me back to MIDI Merge and that solved the Mute/Unmute problem.

I still can’t get the pause/unpause to work on both the BB and the Aeros though and that’s hanging me up. I’ve spent a lot of time on this that should’ve been spent in a more productive way.

Are you running the 2 devices on different Midi Channels?
