Hi all. I’ve started to use my MM in custom mode, and have successfully created buttons to control BeatBuddy - Start, Outro, Pause, Fill - successfully. I’m trying to make the remaining 2 buttons control Onsong “section up, section down “ commands. AI has led me a merry dance with suggestions how to do it and all have been a total failure. Onsong just doesn’t recognise the button presses irrespective of the midi settings used. Can anyone help?

I would recommend reaching out to OnSong and asking them which specific MIDI command needs to be programmed for the “section up” and “section down” functions.
Once you have the correct MIDI commands from them, you should be able to program the MIDI Maestro accordingly.
Thanks Daniel. I have actually done that, and am waiting for a reply. Hopefully it will provide a resolution. If it does, I’ll post the details here for other users.
MIDI Triggers (Input)
The MIDI Triggers screen allows OnSong to listen for incoming MIDI signals and map them to internal actions, such as scrolling charts, changing songs, or switching sections.

Listening Mode: Open the MIDI Triggers menu and enable listening; OnSong will automatically detect incoming MIDI commands (e.g., from footswitches or controllers) and add them to a list.

Mapping: Tap a detected command in the list to assign a specific OnSong action (e.g., “Next Section” or “Toggle Play”).

Manual Entry: You can also manually add triggers by tapping the + button to define specific MIDI commands to watch for.

Channel Selection: You can configure which MIDI channels OnSong listens to via the “Listening for MIDI input…” setting at the bottom of the screen.
Unfortunately that is the correct process……….only it doesn’t work. I understand the midi process with OnSong, and as far as I’m aware all settings are correct. Also all outgoing midi commands from OnSong work ok. Similarly with my midi maestro (which works perfectly with beatbuddy and HeadRush Core) BUT I cannot get OnSong to respond. It shows midi maestro as being there for transmission and receipt, but there’s no midi trigger response from OnSong. I’ve raised a ticket with OnSong, but so far they’ve not been particularly helpful, suggesting an update to the latest version. Which I have done, and which doesn’t work!
Ok. Time to fess up. This was an absolute case of pilot error!!! In midi maestro, when you create a command I have now established that you have to select Bluetooth as an option (the cable option is always highlighted) but the Bluetooth is greyed out. Soooo, once I checked the Bluetooth icon, Hey Presto, it all works. Not sure that’s highlighted in the Singular Sound tutorial………….which would have been really useful, and saved about 7 days frustration!
