While using using the Ios app the only thing that is transferred are the knob labels and the redirect.
Have assigned all the correct midi cc’s but after transferring my configuration the Mm isn’t sending any midi data in custom mode…
i tried to connect the app for midi maestro to see commands and the app crashes/
it won’t connect to singular sound, it just stops working and i have to start the app again
Hey there, what version are you using Android or iOS?
Make sure you are on the latest version of either one
Android, it worked perfect before
I have 3 midi maestros, one for beatbuddy, one for Onsong on my ipad and one for vl3x and all three works great!
I just wanted to see if there was anything new with programming and it just stops.
You’re on cadence 4? go to the main menu on the app and look at the bottom of screen to see the version #
it say’s delight-4 which was downloaded this month-September
what is the latest version?
What is the issue with pairing on this thing?? I have paired and unpaired several times and although the samsung tablet sees it, I get no response to anything…scans timeout, no text editing gets updated, nothing.
The bluetooth symbol lights up when pairing then goes out??
C’mon guys, I just spent near $600 on this thing, surely it should work out of the box for a custom set of instructions?
To sum up what @churchman is yelling at you ( ), you don’t use the Android’s PAIR function (i.e., in Settings), you pair from inside the app. I don’t know if that’s your issue, but I know what you’re describing is exactly the behavior I was experiencing before I figured that out.
Give it a try and then get back to us.
hmmm, thanks. I’ve done all that afaics, but the only difference is I tried pairing from the tablet, not the MM
Nope, there is NO option to pair from within the app. As I wrote when I press Program Device, it tries to scan then times out. And the same response when I tap the icon on the top right of the page.
do you turn on the bluetooth on MM first
the bluetooth must be lite up on the MM before you try to send from the APP
All I get is a flashing Blue tooth symbol…no actual pairing - I also tried unpairing and trying the same tap icon…all I ever get is scanning times out.
Oh and yes to your question.
this is how to set up bluetooth on your android
- turn on MM bluetooth
2 go into settings and click on bluetooth
3 Midi Maestro name will pop up
4 click on it
5 it will save it
Now go to the app
turn back on MM bluetooth, blue light on MM will light up
then press " Program Device"
that should do it!
Good Luck
haha, yes that is pairing the tablet to the MM (which is pretty standard even on iOS) - and I have tried all the options you suggested as well as a couple of my own…and nothing. It still times out on all scanning. I have a hunch it’s a faulty unit. The packaging (from the store) didn’t seem quite right. SO I am now thinking this unit may be a return from someone else who also found it faulty. And stores being stores always refuse to believe a user and simply send the item to another unsuspecting (read trusting!) schmuck!
i’m curious, are you trying to change the programming that came with the MM or are you trying to change “my custom modes”
What came with the unit are : beatbuddy and aeros.
Also what version of the app do you have
i have :delight-4
the version is on the bottom of the screen
also you must have
Requires Android
5.0 and up
Also try deleting the app and then redownload it again .
then restart your android and follow previous instructions.
sometime when downloading it just didn’t take, so try this !!
haha, thanks churchman, but I’ve been around android and iOS for years…I know pretty much all the “tricks”, I know you mean well, but as I wrote above I have tried all the options. And while it’s possible I may be missing something here, I am pretty confident I have attempted pretty much everything. App version is 1.06 which is what is the current download.
Brennan Jasso via Singular Sound Forum just informed me that using all caps was a violation of the rules.
I just found out from my wife that using all caps is considered to be shouting. I’m sorry I did not know that!! my bad!!
That explains JoeInOttawa’s comment about me yelling, I did not understand what he meant.
I guess then i’ve shouted alot in e-mails and didn’t even know it!! Oops!!
haha, all good my man
