midi to .sng?how do you do it?

I have a midi file that is been stripped of everything but drums, now how do I save it so BB can read it?

You can pull it up in the BB Manager by left mouse button click on the “Main Beat” and go to the location of the midi file and open it. It will load right into the song track directly. Of course, you have to open a new song and place it there. The BB Manager will play it and then you can save it as a song. You don’t have to convert anything. It will play midi files this way.
Sincerely, Fingerstylepicker.

thank you
file is too big

newbie.
I used a program called drumkit to take the drums out of a midi file.

All MIDI files need to be mapped to the standard MIDI Drum Map (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/85/GMStandardDrumMap.gif) and need to contain a maximum of 500 events (this limit may be removed in the near future). After you have made sure of that, then import it into the BBManager, according to the instructions that @fingerstylepicker provided above. Remember that every song requires a main drum loop to be valid.

Also, the ‘.sng’ is a proprietary format that is basically sum of all the different drum loops and the accent hits a song contains. Essentially, a ‘.sng’ is the “song” itself that the BB plays.

Make sure you check out our tutorial on the BBManager: http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?threads/tutorial-for-bbmanager-version-1-5-0.4301/

It will start you off to an easy start, and only takes 15-20 minutes to read.
