I am surprised this song wasn’t somewhere in the forum. There is one, but when you download it to the BBOM half the MIDI drums notes are in the Unknown. Same with “No Particular Place To Go”. From the same creator. It’s like these .sng’s weren’t meant for the Beat Buddy. If they are, I’m not at that experience level to get it to work.
Many of the older songs were created with the tools we had at the time. In this case, the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM). The BBM would identify the name of the kit that was used to craft the song and it would display an asterisk preceding the kit name in the Default Drum Set for that song. Quite handy, but I don’t think there’s any such “hint” in the BBMO.
In that thread, Phil_Flood mentioned you could use either of the NP Bosendorfer kits. He was probably referring to an older generation of the kits which had the bass guitar notes placed in a different octave, thus the many UNKNOWN notes displayed in the BBMO.
Give me a few days and I’ll work up new one-press variants of Johnny B. Good.
Thank you.
I messed around with it in BBM app but I didn’t get anywhere.
It’s the beat, rather than the kit. Another example of needing 50s/60’s R+R beats
which of course is where this beat came from. It’s sorta kinda a “boom chaka train”
Here’s one. It’s pretty simple and I enabled autopilot for the BB2. It uses standard drum midi notes. There are some films that aren’t in the actual song. Let me know if that’s what you’re looking for
Johnny B Goode - Chuck Berry.sng (12.6 KB)
Berry Cool!!! Thank you. I will check it out soon. Is there not a way to click on a link from this forum and then go back to the forum? It seems that if I click on a link (much like the one you provided), there is no way to go back. On the iPhone, I have to get out of the forum and then reopen it.
Strange. I click on a link on my iPhone and download the file to my Files folder. I then click on Safari and it brings me back to the original post I was reading. If I want to return to my main forum page, I just push the display to the right and it takes me back to the Latest page.
Hmm, I just tried it again, clicked on your link then left it to go to Safari and Safari was still on the last thing I was searching. Maybe it’s because I have this forum set to an icon on my Home Screen? clicking the “SS Forums” home screen icon updates the forum in real time. If I go back to that icon again, it just brings me back to the link that I was on. Maybe I have to physically search the forums on the Safari app? it would seem weird because it even provides me with the Singular Sound logo and updates everything on my home screen. It seems like a better way to store and view this forum.
