Great. Very nice of you! I’m not looking for specific songs per sé. Just good usable somewhat universal type beats. I love being able to trigger fills etc on the fly. And if I’m playing one press I might not end at the right spot. Lol.
Thank You, Phil
Persist, this is where I get confused. Would it be better to buy the afore mentioned drum kits and get the links from Phil (assuming that Phil is still around) or are the substitutes just as good? I’m looking for glitch free products and I see so many of them come with workarounds. I just want to use my BB, and not have to become some sort of computer wizard.
You won’t go wrong buying the Standard Pro or Vintage Ludwig kits. I say this because Phil (not Phil_Flood) crafted his songs based on the premium kits edited to incorporate the bass guitar. Although the substitute kits will work quite well, they probably won’t sound as Phil intended.
I would suggest though that you first listen to his songs with the SUB kits and if you like the songs, take the next steps to buy the premium stuff.
Thanks Phil, totally appreciate!
What soft ware do I use to open the pbf files?
The BBMO.
Click on Import Songs, navigate to the file, select and press Open.
Hello, I’ve generated a PDF file that lists the songs contained in the folders mentioned here alphabetically. Next to each song title is the folder name where the song file is located, as well as the folder heading as it appears in BeatBuddy when the folders are imported there. I hope this might be helpful to others as well.
Songs Phil Pingber.pdf (633.2 KB)
.. oh yes, of course, thanks Phil for your work!!
Nicely done.
What drum kits are required for these songs?
Phil is there a way I can use the songs without the bass, my bass player feels left out when we play lol
If the song can be opened in the BBMO use it to delete the bass notes.
I will give it a go thanks
You could also use a drumkit with no bass in it, as long as the bass parts aren’t on a note with an assigned sound.
Is there any way, after downlownloading all files onto my comuter, that I could see what each individual song was in order that I can tell if its a song I actually desire to use in my original BBMO?
I cant open the file because it keeps asking for an application!
- Let’s use one of Phil’s song folders as an example: Newly_added_2.pbf.
- If you use the official release of the BBMO (v2.0.6 (2026-02-25) it will only import 25 of the 33 songs that are in the folders. There’s no guarantee that each of the songs will play either.
- Strongly recommend you instead use the beta BBMO https://bbmo-beta.dyhfwrcznxkz3.amplifyapp.com which seems to work better with Songs and Folders created using the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM)
- Click BBMO Import Song, select the .pbf file and Open the name of the .pbf file. The steps are:
- Import Song
- Navigate to and click on .pbf file location Newly_added_2.pbf
- Press Open
- Listen to the song by double-tapping to start playing it.
Here’s a link to an index of songs by folders that I posted several years ago. These are .pdf files and the post is 8/95 in this thread: MY FOLDERS - #8 by persist
I’d suggest you download the .pdf files so you have a ready reference and you identify beforehand if you want to download one of the song folders (.pbf)
Just to let you know, I’m probably going to delete the original post eventually and upload new versions of the folders which includes new songs and updates of older ones.
