The nuts that hold the pots in place on my beatbuddy have come loose. How do you tighten these? They’re sunk in to these countersunk holes and I don’t know how to get a tool in there. Thanks.

I looked at the recessed slots and came up with a couple of options:
- Remove the knobs from the shafts if you have not already done so. Some are friction-held and some might be held by Allen screws.
- Option 1: see if tweezers can fit in the recess to turn the fasteners; get them as snug as you can.
- Option 2: visit an auto store with the pedal and see if they have a thin wall socket that fits and use that to snug the fasteners; do not over tighten
- To prevent this from happening again, apply a very small drop of Loctite between the thread and the fastener and allow to cure before using pedal again
- Reinstall the knobs

I sent a message to support but I think I did this in the past and never got a response.
They’re pretty good at replying within a few days so that usually means that their reply could have ended up in your spam/junk folder.
It’s pretty sad that Singular is unable to help me tighten a nut on their pedal. All support did was pass me off to hotone, which I guess is who actually makes their products? Hotone told me to contact Singular support. So I’m getting the classic runaround? If they think this is how they get me to buy a new beatbuddy, that won’t happen. I’ll just stop using their products completely.
Have you tried the suggestions I posted? They are based on what other forum users said worked for them.
I pulled one of the knobs on my BB. I ‘think’ a pair of bent needle nose pliers would be able to fit in
to the sides of the nut. If the plier tips are a bit to big, take some off with a file so they fit in the recess. It needs to be bent because the ‘V’ of straight needle nose pliers would hit the knob shaft and not get into the nut recess. If the link below doesn’t work, just search Amazon for …’bent needle nose pliers’.
I did and while I can get pretty far, there has to be a tool that exists for this to make it snug.
I’ll deal with it. I just wish Singular had an answer for this. I can’t be the first.
Thanks. That looks promising. I’ll give it a try.
Just tried a pair of bent nose pliers on my BB. I did have to file off a bit of the backside of the tips for it to fit. My nut was slightly loose.
