Need help syncing Boomerang

Hi, I recently purchased a 10th anniversary beat buddy. I am trying to get it to tempo sync with a boomerang looper. I have tested the boomerang and confirmed that it can receive a midi clock signal but when I connect it to the beat buddy via the beat buddy breakout cable, it is not receiving midi clock data. I have confirmed that the midi cable works, so at this point, it is either the breakout cable, the breakout cable connection point, or some setting in the beat buddy that I have incorrect. Currently have the midi settings for midi out and sync always on. Please help. I also confirmed that the B buddy is connecting Through the mini out portion of the breakout cable and in through the midi in connection on the looper. Previously I had this set up connected with an original beat buddy, which I no longer have and the set up was working perfectly. Thanks!!!

It sounds like you’ve connected the BeatBuddy (BB) MIDI In and Out to the Boomerang MIDI Out and In. If this is what you’ve done, disconnect the BB MIDI In from the Boomerang MIDI Out.

Try following the connection instructions on p37 of the BB Manual and p38 for the settings. BeatBuddy Manual

If you’re still having problems, please reach out to Support support@singularsound.com and let us know what you did to get it working again.

Thanks @persist. I only have one midi cable connecting BB out to Boomerang in. I will double check those pages from the manual you pointed out. Thanks again.

I have the regular beat buddy and a boomerang iii. From the breakout cable I have the midi cable plugged into the midi out of the breakout then into the in jack on the boomerang.
My midi out output type on the bb is midi merge (not sure if that makes a diff)
I have sync set to while playing just because when I loop I don’t always use the bb
Start is on main beat
Stop is set to pause and end
It seems to work for me.
Hope you figure it out!

Thanks @bturner75. I have all those settings, double checked them at your recommendation. It’s gotta be a faulty break out cable. I have a new one on the way… Thanks again for your input.
