Similar to how the New Song command doesn’t use the Locked Track configuration, I found out today that it also doesn’t use the Time Signature of the prior song. In my case, I have an 8/4 song (for a longer measure to have more time to do loop management) that reverts to 4/4.

There’s something off with the clear function and the editing the cleared song settings. Both time signature and freeform settings can be edited but don’t always change.
Reported it several times across multiple versions, and shared videos… Losing faith in SS on this sort of stuff.
