Thanks again for all your time and support
Yes, I use sustain pedals. They are super flat and I can operate them. I’ve opened the older of my two pedals and it looks like Norbert’s from the video. I’m not sure plugging a mono jack into the stereo will accomplish what I hope.
I have a Swtchcraft mono 1/4" but not sure if that would be considered “isolated”. I’m still trying to figure out what isoled vs. non-isolted is.
isolated means it’s a plastic input jack, that way nothing of the jack is in contact with the case of the BB. The jack used in Norberts video is a non isolated one, the negative of the jack is making contact with the case. Seems to work also, but to avoid any weard noices an isolated is better, look at the jacks in the BB all are isolated type, although I do see metal in the outside of the input jacks. Hope this makes sence.
renevmind, you’re my hero! Thanks again!
SUCCESS!!! Since I had the older BB open and recieved my sustain pedals today I grew impatient waiting for the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter which will arrive tomorrow.
I drilled a hole for my Switchcraft 1/4" plug. I can’t restate the fact that one has to be very careful drilling. Take your time and probably more importantly…use sharp drill bits made to drill metals. As careful as I was I did hit the plug that connects the switch to the main PCB board which bent the pins. I removed the plug whi h exposed the two pins that are wired to go to the little PCB board. It was much easier for me to solder to the pins. Therefore my main pedal is now disconnected but my new jack works wonderfully. I’m so friggin’ happy I can operate my main BB pedal without physical limitations. I also replaced the SS remote with different pedals too.
Now I can remove my BB, the two-button remote, and Midi-Maestro to it’s own separate pedal board and free up some usable space on my main rig.
Tomorrow I’ll look into my newer unit and try converting the headphone in jack to a remote and then I’ll have a backup BB.
Many thanks again, guys, for sticking around this thread and a big tip of the hat to Norbert for bringing this all to my attention in the first place!
Wishing you all a healthy and happy start into the New Year!

if the little pcb is broken you can solder two wires to your new plug, this way you still can use the main pedal.
