Two and a half years later…
What is happening here?
Nothing?
Come on work on that!
At least add some output mixer in the mixer 2 with individual mute option for L and R on each output.
You call this machine “loop studio“. In a studio you need routing!
To keep things simple, let’s talk about 2x2 mode in dual mono (output setting stereo)
On track one is a drum loop and the track is locked. Would be nice if it could be routed to aux out.
On track 2 as a workaround I use stereo (double mono) mode and use input1 for instrument A (e.g. bass) and input 2 for instrument B (guitar). If only I was able to mute only the bass without the needof a external mixer.
Even if i cope with the disadvantage of an external mixer that doesn’t really help. Cause if I want to record the drums on the fly using my mpc or sth else I’d connect them to aux in. But loop output set to main and aux doesn’t keep signals separated. So the signal going to aux in is recorded but will be played back twice, on aux out and on main out.
The signals should be separate. Like what goes in on aux should playback on aux also should work for input 1 + 2.
But 1+ 2 is also played on aux out!
If I use only main out with external mixer, every time i mute the e.g. bass track, the volume of drums drops or (if the loop has panned content) looses some of it and drops.
Please please please try to implement routing at least for the 2x2 mode!
Like auxin > loop1 stereo > aux out stereo
Main in 2x mono > loop 2 dual mono > main out dual mono.
