Package protection cost?

Maybe a daft question,

Am I to understand that I have to pay another $15 to the cost of my order, just to ensure I’m covered? If I don’t buy the SavedBy protection, and it shows up damaged, I’m SOL? Just trying to get an answer before ordering.

Yes, if you purchase package protection, your order is covered—so if it gets lost or damaged in transit, you can file a claim and if accepted it will be reshipped free of charge. If you don’t purchase package protection, any damage or loss would need to be handled by contacting support@singularsound.com and filing a claim with the carrier.

Isn’t it up to you, Singular Sound, to file the claim with the carrier?

That’s a good point about who should file the carrier claim!

I think the main takeaway is the hassle factor. Paying the $15 basically means Singular Sound handles everything and just sends you a replacement immediately if it’s lost or damaged. If you skip it, it sounds like you’ll have to deal with the carrier’s slower, more complicated claims process via their support.

For something expensive, that peace of mind is probably worth the extra cost!
