Per-Track Sync / Free Async Track in 6x6 Mode

Hi everyone,

I’d like to submit a feature request regarding track synchronization logic in 6x6 mode.

Currently, settings like Sync Start and Sync Length apply globally to the entire song. This works great for structured rhythmic looping, but it restricts creative possibilities when blending tight rhythmic elements with free-form soundscapes.

The Request

It would be amazing to have an option to set a single track (or specific tracks) as “Free / Unsynced” while the rest of the song operates with full Loop Sync enabled.

Concrete Use Case

In a live performance setup (e.g., in 6x6 mode):

  • Main Track (Track 1): Sets a long baseline structure (e.g., an 8-bar chord progression or long loop).

  • Additional Tracks (e.g., Tracks 2 to 6): Can be set as free or shorter layers.

This would allow you to quickly record a single-bar percussion hit, a short rhythm accent, or a held sustained note without being forced to wait through or record across all 8 bars (or more…!) of the main track length. Similarly, it would allow a completely free ambient pad or drone to play seamlessly underneath structured parts.

What do you guys think? Is this technically feasible for a future firmware update?

Thanks for your response,

Simon.
