Performing with two Aeros at the same time with a duo partner

I have a duo partner that also loops and we we thinking about midi syncing two boxes together…Will I be able to start a loop and change parts and have the other aeros unit follow in time? Also how would the Master/Slave relationship work between the two boxes? If the unit that is designated to be the slave will it be able to have the same functionality as the Master unit?

Hello,

Yes, two Aeros units can play in sync, change parts in sync, and loop in sync! The master unit sends the tempo information and part change information to the slave unit.

The slave unit will be able to follow the master and maintain the same functionality, so you can start loops and change parts together.

Hi - this is good to know!

Can I use a single BeatBuddy with two Aeros units all MIDI connected, such that the parts are in sync across all units? Would the BeatBuddy be the master for this, or perhaps it doesn’t matter? I usually control parts using the BeatBuddy. Thanks.

great bro this is awesome

Yes, you can! I’d recommend using the BeatBuddy as the master. If you send a MIDI message to the first Aeros, you can set it up so the same message is forwarded to the second Aeros as well—this way both Aeros units will behave the same way and stay in sync.

If you have any questions while setting it up, feel free to send me a message to support@singularsound.com —I have two Aeros units here and I’m happy to help.
