Phil,

Could you check the link for this collection. It seems to only take me to ā€˜Final Lead Synth & Liverpool Bass.zip’

THX……..

Try it now. Thanks.

Hi , These kits are really useful thank you. I’ve just started to use rock_organ_with_bass_c2-60.drm as I’d like to have a bit keyboard wash to fill out the choruses in my set. The trouble is now the open hi hat sounds just ring and the hi hat doesn’t close. Is this an issue with the kit i just have to live with or am i doing something wrong?

I just tested the Open Hi-Hat in this kit and it sound okay to me.

If you are using the BBM and especially to edit a song or beat, it could be a source of the problem.

Try the BBMO with your songs and see if it makes a difference. You should not use the old song with the ā€œstuckā€ Open Hi-Hat; create and use a new song.

If you’re still having problems, use the BBMO to delete the Rock Organ with Bass C2-60. Download and import a fresh version of the kit.

I’m using BBMO. I don’t want create a new song as I’ve already done loads of work, basslines etc on it, would rather put up with no open hi hat. I tried deleting and reinstalling the .drm file but it made no difference

I just changed the kit to NP bass w better strings and have same hi hat issue ??

In the kit, try changing the offending hi hat to non-percussion. This will cause it to respond to the midi note off command. It’s the little symbol that looks like a couple piano keys. Right now, the symbol with the drum should be selected. I’ve found that often the open hats can sound too present. I typically lower the volume on the open hats. Also, you can try to make a change to the note lengths to make sure that there is definite space between the notes.

yesss. thank you so much. this has fixed it

Thinking about my answer from earlier today, I believe there is a more elegant and proper solution. It’s this: put all the hi-hats in a choke group, and set the polyphony to 1. This will still cause the hats to only have 1 ringing at a time, and it will not have the negative effect of having and open hat cut off when it should ring, like at the end of song. With this solution you would leave the hats set a percussion, which should be the right way to solve this problem.

Another issue I have with kit rock_organ_with_bass_c2-60.drm is the bass drum and snare drum seem to be quiet. I have the velocity on the snare up to 127 but have to have the organ velocity at 30 for it to blend in. For most of my set I use Rock_with_bass.drm. If I use rock organ kit for some of my songs is the level going to drop so I have to change my guitar level mid set?

I think I posted something somewhere about not providing support on these kits. There are several issues that you pose.

  1. The organ is too loud.

  2. the kit and snares are not loud enough

  3. the levels in this fit do not match the levels in another kit.

The simplest way to resolve these issues is to create new samples and/or new kits.

If rock with bass is your go-to kit, use it and add organ to it. Otherwise, you’ll always be strugling to get two kits at the same levels.

The samples can be found here:

It is zip file. Download it and unzip it. All of the samples in the kit are it there. You can use any DAW to make the louder or softer. A gain plug-ing helps to make things louder.

BB does not recognize midi volume, only velocity. They are not the same thing. Velocity is how fast a key is struck. Well, with organs, that does not change anything with regard to volume. So, you have to get real low velocities before the program makes a perceivable difference.

Thanks very much for this . Are there any instructions for how to add organ wavs to an existing kit?

See the sections on editing drumkits.
