I have been using a regular Beat buddy pedal with an Electro Harmonix 1440 looper pedal for about a year with no problems until recently. I use the BB (latest software and firmware upgrades) to control the tempo and midi start of the 1440 looper. It has worked flawlessly until now 
What’s happening now is that the looper pedal is not playing back the correct Pitch that the loops were recorded at. Midi start and stop commands are fine. Pitch is somehow being transposed way off base. Useless to me! I’m clueless here and thanks for any suggestions.
It sounds like your looper playback has gone into variable speed. Can’t tell you much more than that as I don’t have an EHX looper so you’ll have to check your looper pedal settings.

I’ve been having the same problem. If I got from creating a loop with no external clock, then ever turn on the external clock, it seems to permanently overwrite the loop to a different pitch/tempo.
Hi, I am curious did you ever manage to resolve this issue? I am looking for a simple looper to sync with BB and the EHX1440 seems to be a good option.

Actually no. No updates from EHX either. On the upside the 1440 works great with my BB pedal. Sync is dead on. I’m really hoping that EHX does a firmware update so that I can send loops back and forth from PC and 1440 looper -without tempo issues!

It sounds like the sync is good, but are you still have pitch issues? Would you recommend the pedal?
There is a known issue with the 1440. EHX1440 app does not provide tempo information on the loops it exports to the 1440, and therefore the 1440 gives every loop it receives from the app a default tempo of 120 BPM.
Long story short if you are going to just create a few loops in your 1440 and not have to worry about saving the loops to your computer and then sending them back-You’re good. I hope this makes sense! EHX is aware of the problem with their app and assured me that there would be an update in the future for the 1440 pedal
